Yesterday on the way to the bees we passed this spectacular apple tree, just covered in blossoms.
What made it even more spectacular was the fact it was planted next to a red maple. How Canadian.
The contrast in colours really made both stand out.
I'd like to think hubby's bees had something to do with the successful pollination...but those aren't bees in the blossoms.
Our own apple tree in the back yard is just beginning to bud; I am surprised this one is so far ahead. This is the weekend of the annual Apple Blossom Festival in Kentville. I hope there are as many blossoms in the Annapolis Valley as in Nappan!

Isn't that so pretty - the blossom tree, and its neighbour in red!
