Two good news items for today: the first is that Amherst won the challenge yesterday - yea! My youngest son is amused to hear the TSN announcers pronounce the name of our town, emphasising the "h". Vernacularly, the "h" is silent. If you click on the voteamherst.ca link, you can see the winners from the other days of voting, and also the current competitors. Exciting news!
Equally exciting is that the September issue of McCall's Quick Quilts is on the stands, and editor Beth Hayes has included mention of our book, Canadian Heritage Quilting. Check out page 59.
And as she says, the book is widely available at your local quilt shop, book store on online at amazon.com. Signed copies are available from this website

I'm in! Carol just e-mailed me there was a place for me in the Friday workshop... and she was sure Simone would get in also... How great is that?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading about Amherst and that it was a winner. The interesting thing unknown to me was the fact Amherst was founded by Acadians! It's a small world!
Congrads!
ReplyDeleteps. who publishes the book in the US? Not sure how quilt stores in the US are getting their copies. It's not available from Checkers my main supplier! Being Canadian and all, I'd love to carry it in my shoppe! Cheers!
