Another to the Finish Line

While pondering the borders on the silk log cabin, I came across a project in my sewing room which had been cut out for quite some time and was begging to be finished. This gorgeous poppy print is from Fabric Freedom in the U.K. The lush colours didn't need much to dress it up, so I made a simple band of Seminole Patchwork in purple, black and orange-red:
An edge strip of black sets it off nicely from the main section. The match in the print at the seam came out rather nicely as well.
Although you can't see it, the lining is a grey-green to match the leaves, and the inside zippered pocket is the floral print. I've decided that a black lining looks smart, but really isn't as it is too hard to find things in the bag.

  1. Karen that bag is gorgeous. The Seminole just is the icing on the cake.
