Sewing Asuka

My new quilt, which uses a collection from Hoffman called "Asuka", is coming together quickly.
That black fabric in the front of the photo is dazzling.  Shot with silver threads, it catches the light and tosses it back in all directions.  It's hard to believe that mere cotton can be so brilliant and so beautiful.

  1. It puts me in mind of the designs and colours which were popular in the 1920s......very Phryne Fisher! She is the subject of a currently popular TV series made in Australia, set in 1929, and I can see her wearing those fabrics.
