I guess it's not like we weren't warned that the Ides of March could be a troublesome day.
We had warning that a big snow was coming; up and down the street, windshield wipers were raised in anticipation. (that's so they don't freeze to the windshield, Jennifer, or get damaged under the weight of the snow). Reading online reports, it appears Amherst got around 40 cm in yesterday's blizzard. Here's what we shovelled through at the end of the driveway.
The driveway is a work in progress, exactly one car-width at present and not a flake more.
She had to come out for a minute to check on us.
Spring is how many days away...??
I feel bad for you guys on the east coast - we have had about a week of above 0 temps. here in MB, so most of our snow is gone now.
ReplyDeleteSo why is it that houses out your way don't have garages? I don't even have to brush off my car on snowy days! I am so spoiled.
ReplyDeleteEnough of winter already. I need so sunshine and warm, and so does Polly!
Boy, that's a lot of snow. I sure hope you get a long, slow melt.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how many cm. we ended up getting here, but it was a sizeable "dump". On our back deck that was bare on Sat., we had a drift this a.m. that was over 3feet... Also a huge drift across front lawn. Our front looks much like yours. Enough already!!!
ReplyDeleteToo many days away yet for Polly, I think! Wow, that is a whole heap of snow.....good to see that you have a patriotic red shovel, though!
ReplyDeleteWe had snow all day today as well infact it was worse than yesterday , very strong winds with blowing snow , hope this is it for this year .
ReplyDeleteWe heard that the Maritimes was in for another blast of Mother Nature's white stuff. Hopefully, it won't stick around long.
ReplyDeleteAnd here we are with hot weather!
